Springville is situated in the seaside town of Margate, Kent. It boasts a newly renovated basement flat, this comprises of 1 bedroom, a lounge, a kitchen, 1 bathroom and a small patio garden. The garden is only accessible though the basement flat for the user of the flat to enjoy at their leisure. This flat provides a single service residential dwelling. Users of the service can bring their own furniture or we will provide basic furniture. We feel it is important for the flat to feel homely and for the service user to be fully involved in helping choose how to decorate it in a way which does not feel clinical or without feeling. Service users also have access to the ‘Summer House’ located at our sister home Summerville, this is a space that service users can take part in Arts and Crafts activities, or it can be used as a sensory area.

Springville is close by to a beautiful large park, bus route with local links, shops and other communal services. Access to Homeville is limited as there are a number of stairs at the front of the property. The service may not be suitable for some individuals who may have a physical disability. If current users of our service were to have a change in their physical needs we would look at ways of adapting the environment. Service users have access to a company vehicle for outings, activities and day trips. There is on-road parking in front of the flat which is time limited, there are several adjoining roads close by which are without restriction.
